Background Information - SPPG
The Sustainable Procurement Practice Group (SPPG) at UNOPS leads the organization’s sustainable procurement practice and is responsible for all matters of organizational development in procurement and supply chain management. It is responsible for developing procurement strategies, policies, and processes. SPPG provides authoritative guidance and procurement advice. It enables oversight and develops procurement and supply chain knowledge networks and training tools to strengthen skills in public procurement while advancing sustainable practices. SPPG is also responsible for a significant percentage of the transactional procurement volume of UNOPS which totalled 740 Mio. USD in 2012.
Our Policy, Training and Knowledge Management team provides subject matter expertise on procurement policy and provides interpretation and substantive examples to assist all procurement practitioners at UNOPS in their understanding of the theory and practice of procurement and supply chain management. The Policy, Training and Knowledge Management team ensures that UNOPS is aligned with best practices in procurement and supply chain management and helps to continuously improve UNOPS procurement practices and organizational maturity. The team also takes charges of visual design and branding of all procurement services and products and is responsible for all matters of knowledge management, training and education in sustainable procurement.
UNOPS is looking for a Product Design and Knowledge Management Analyst to support SPPG in the areas of knowledge management and product design and development. The incumbent reports to the Team Manager and works in close collaboration with the Communications Practice Group and other HQ business units.We are looking for an individual who can effectively communicate concepts and ideas visually and verbally. Functional Responsibilities
Deliver a range of products and publications (both print and online) around the services offered by UNOPS in sustainable procurement and by the Sustainable Procurement Practice Group. This includes knowledge products explaining policy, training products and courses, and other knowledge artefacts. This includes the following tasks:
Lead the production of training, informational and educational materials
- Coordinate the overall development of these materials and take responsibility for stakeholder engagement and overall production schedule as well as delivery dates
- Ensure the quality of products and publications, making sure the materials are visually engaging and the messages are clear, concise, and easily understood by the audience
- Work in close collaboration with the Training Specialist to visualize concepts and ideas of procurement and supply chain management and support the production of procurement training materials
- Support other teams in SPPG in terms of content visualization, and implementation of corporate design and branding
