MzN is looking for a Communications Executive to complement its young and dynamic team ASAP.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE

The Communications Executive will be responsible for implementing MzN’s Communications and Marketing Strategy, with the aim of strengthening MzN’s profile and reputation in the sector and attracting new clients and candidates. The Comms Exec. will be monitoring the outcome of various tools used and suggest changes where necessary, to ensure timely adaption of MzN’s Marketing Strategy to quickly changing trends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communication and Marketing: You will be responsible for design and execution (in cooperation with IT and graphic design experts) of MzN’s external communication to the charity, UN and governmental sector. We use Social Media, our website, published articles, blogs, place adverts and other communication channels and all these need to be managed, optimised and impressed with our distinct mark.

• Building a loyal SM-following: through MzN’s social media-channels. You will make sure that MzN staff is using communication tools according to the MzN culture and policies (a.o. MzN SM Manual). You will drive and monitor the MzN Media Calendar. You will explore new marketing platforms for MzN to engage in.

• Networking through marketing: We work globally, servicing a very fragmented market. Networking is key to our success. We already use professional CRM tools, but need you to take our networking to the next level. Strategic engagement is key.

• Events: In cooperation with the CEO, BD Heads and HR Manager, you will identify events (conferences, lectures, talks etc.) where MzN’s presence is required and assisting in preparing staff participation. You will assist in organising a yearly MzN event.

• Marketing support to Training arm: In addition to communicating out presence and message, you will actively be involved in communicating and marketing specific training courses and recruitment drives, using mass mailing, social media and other tools.

• M&E: You will monitor success of various marketing tools used by MzN and suggest changes where necessary.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We need a creative and SM-savvy communications specialist to tweet a relevant, engaging product conversation into the hearts and minds of our target audience. MzN already has a distinct brand and mission, now we need someone who can utilise this in driving conversations at an international level.

You must have the discipline to manage a significant workload.

Essential

• BA or MA in a marketing- or communications-related study with digital component

• IT-proficient, able to use iMovie to optimising movies for insertion to our website. Ability to update a Wordpress website with the assistance of our IT providers

• Proven competence and experience in working with all marketing tools/platforms used by MzN (direct marketing, social media, website, e-campaigns etc.)

• Results-oriented, ability to drive a team/process, showing high level of initiative

• Great time-management, good organisational skills, eye for detail

• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy and dynamic work environment

• Ability to work under stress and a willingness to occasionally work out-of-hours

• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills: engaged, open-minded, friendly

• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

• Ability to handle client and internal information confidentially

• Interest in working with charities and the international development sector

• Eligible to work in the EU

Preferred

• Experience in the humanitarian sector

• Experience in organising marketing events, conferences etc.
