MzN is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead business development in our Training and Coaching practice.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
The Manager holds the overall responsibility for the business development of the training and coaching arm of MzN. He/she helps to develop MzN’s two-year impact strategy and oversees its implementation. He/she will lead the incorporation of MzN’s sister company Oxford Change Management - OCM - into MzN’s training service. The Manager is the public face and primary promoter of MzN’s training arm, establishing - in cooperation with colleagues - long-lasting relationships with NGOs/IOs/Government organisations and training consultants through extensive networking, and developing new training and coaching opportunities for MzN.
In addition to networking and relationship building, the Manager will be the lead proposal writer for all training and coaching related activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Establish, build and nurture relationships with Clients requiring MzN’s training services
- Actively search and analyse/evaluate suitable tendering opportunities for training and coaching contracts and consultancies
- Draft between 4-6 proposals to completion (complete for sign off), including the budget, per month
- Selection of training and coaching consultants (in cooperation with HR Manager)
- First point of contact (quality control) for training and coaching consultants throughout their assignment with MzN
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
· MA in development-related topic or business administration
· Business-minded professional, results-driven, passionate about MzN’s mission
· A strategic eye for developing and distributing MzN’s training services, and convincing in promoting MzN’s product
· A proven track record of high-quality bid writing, gained either at a large NGO or a private sector consultancy firm
· Good budgeting and project planning skills
· Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
· Excellent interpersonal and networking skills: engaged, open-minded, friendly, convincing
· Ability to work under stress and to tight deadlines, willingness to work out-of-hours
· Experience in the humanitarian sector
· Eligible to work in the EU.

· Coaching/training experience, qualified coach/trainer
· Management experience
