With a Postgraduate Degree in the development field coupled with extensive experience in an International Development or Human Rights organisation you are just the person we are looking for at ActionAid International. We are a global movement of people working together to further human rights and defeat poverty, for all. We are now recruiting a Head of Planning & Reporting to lead and embed effective and efficient planning and reporting processes to ensure we plan collaboratively to achieve the Federation’s international.

As Head of Planning & Reporting you will be a senior member of the Institutional Development Directorate Team and responsible for leading and coordinating the Federation and Secretariat operational planning and reporting processes that interconnect with the international platforms and global M&E frameworks that provide robust evidence of performance against the strategy. Ensuring overall alignment of global and country level planning and reporting processes; development of a federation network of strategy and planning specialists to strengthen ownership as well as peer support,. While building a dynamic team, you will support translation of our strategic agenda into departmental plans and operational delivery as well as develop systems for monitoring KPI’s to help assess overall organisational performance against the Strategy and plans. Furthermore, you will progress an integrated planning strategy plus systems, tools and guidelines for implementation across the organisation. You will also support, monitor and report on organisational sustainability.

You must hold a Postgraduate degree in relevant development field with strong bias on planning and systems development as well as extensive work experience, ideally in an international development/human rights organisation. You must have expertise in leading organisational wide strategic planning initiatives and been involved in implementing cross functional projects. Skilled at developing and motivating people, you will be highly numerate and possess excellent facilitation, influencing and advisory skills. With strong orientation to communicating with multiple stakeholders across international boundaries you will have a good understanding of the key issues in International Development and be highly motivated to deliver positive change.
