Options is looking to recruit an Assistant Technical Director with expertise in providing technical support to international health systems/service delivery programmes. You will be have an MSc or PhD in an area related to health and international development and experience of working in low and middle income countries. You will be a health sector service delivery expert, with technical expertise in an area related to health economics/financing; monitoring and evaluation; maternal and neo-natal health and nutrition. Experience of leading technical components of bid design/writing for tenders to DFID and other major donors is highly desirable.

You will be responsible for delivering top quality expertise and technical oversight to our long-term programmes, and undertaking short-term consultancies for a wide range of clients. You will also work pro-actively with colleagues to generate new ideas to expand Options’ portfolio of work, and contribute to proposal development.

You will have an exceptional track record in your specialist field, and will be a team player, comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-moving and complex environment. Post holders will need to be able travel as required.
