Duration: 12 months, negotiable days
Location: remote consultancy (location flexible)
The purpose of this consultancy is to assist the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) team and its collaborators with engaged editing (including proofreading) of research texts, such as manuscripts, abstracts or reports, for the purpose of publication.
This concerns making improvements to the content, structure, clarity and logic of argument, expression and style as well as spelling, so documents are well written and publishable as a result.
The consultant must have a track record of academic and scientific editing, preferably with a medical or clinical background, with editing experience in BMC Women's Health, Contraception, IJGO, the Lancet or comparable journals. A scientific background and the ability to review the merit of measurement, methodology, and statistics in a manuscript or reports is required. A background in the area of health research is desirable.
