We are currently looking for an Ebola response Logistics Manager to be based in our office near Trafalgar Square, London, on a 6 month fixed term contract.

In this role you will lead the overall coordination of the logistics of our emergency response, providing strategic oversight, technical support to our in country logistics teams, oversight of our international supply chain and ensure adequate human resources are secured for the country logistics teams, as well as remotely managing and supporting the logistics teams.

You'll ensure the medical treatment centre in Sierra Leone is conducive to longer term programming, source/establish a warehouse facility, work with the Procurement team and country offices to ensure the most efficient and appropriate procurement, continuously develop inventory management with colleagues in the field and ensure compliance with policies and procedures in regards to the management of the supply chain, the vehicle fleet, communications systems and other assets associated with the health facility.

You'll also input in to all budget proposals, provide logistics advice and support to the senior management team, contribute to security management plans, be responsible for the logistics aspects of risk management and actively engage with external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will have significant prior experience within an international NGO in a senior logistics role covering all technical areas, which will include emergency response experience and, preferably, medical logistics experience. You'll also have experience of developing and implementing a complex supply chain to support large emergency programmes, have a proven track record of managing and supervising others as well as excellent planning, management and coordination skills.

It would also be beneficial, though is not essential, if you have experience of direct management of health facilities in remote locations.
