A brief overview
The Unit Chief is responsible for designing and implementing an effective advocacy and communications strategy aimed at positioning UNIDO and its mandate.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
University - Master's degree or equivalent, in communication studies, journalism, public relations or a related discipline.
UNIDO Languages:
English (Fluent), an excellent command is required. Command of another United Nations official language is an asset.
Field of Expertise:
A minimum of 10 years of prior professional experience in journalism, information/communication or media relations field, economics, public or business administration, international relations at least five of which should be in an international setting. Very good knowledge of international media, and the diplomatic community, good understanding of development issues, political and world affairs. Proficient knowledge of global development priorities, especially in the context of UNIDO’s thematic priorities and operational activities.
