INTRAC is a not for profit organisation based in Oxford, UK, working worldwide and with a small office in Kyrgyzstan. We support civil society organisations around the world, particularly in the global South, through research, training, and consultancy. We help build organisations’ capacity so that they can in turn empower people in their societies who experience poverty and various forms of social exclusion to challenge and change the inequality that affects them. We focus in particular on civil society dynamics; planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning; and trends in international NGO and donor practices. Our work is funded through a combination of consultancy contracts, training fees and grant funding.
We are looking a positive person with a lot of personal initiative and energy to maintain and further expand our support for the development of professional skills, management and leadership capacity of individuals working in and with civil society organisations around the world. INTRAC’s offer in this field currently includes open training in the UK and abroad, tailor-made support for organisations worldwide, multi-faceted (blended) web-based courses, as well as e-learning.
As Training Manager you will develop the scope of our work in this field and beyond by managing and building relationships with existing and potential clients, funders and partners, as well as with current and future members of our high quality pool of trainers. Based on an established track record of managing people, budgets and processes, you will supervise and actively participate in the day to day management activities of our training team. In collaboration with other members of the INTRAC team and community you will analyse and engage with new opportunities and needs for the development and initiate new training concepts, and draft projects and proposals for funding.
INTRAC is based in Oxford, UK, as is this role. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
