Specialized in the sectors of health, education, rural livelihoods and private sector development, our clients include bilateral and multilateral development agencies, the private sector, Non-Governmental Organizations and other development stakeholders.
Job Purpose
To support the effective implementation of Montrose’s contracts through project management support.
Reports to:
Global Director of Programmes and Operations
Location: United Kingdom
Key Functions for this Position:
1.Project Management
· Management of all stages of projects including:
· Developing a work plan with deliverables and timeframe and monitoring progress throughout the duration of the project
· Managing personnel and ensuring compliance to personnel contracts
· Tracking client contract (time line, reporting, payments) and deliverables and ensuring all contractual obligations are met
· Ensuring compliance to HSSE, ethical conduct, IFC standards and/or compliance to any other standards dictated by the client
· Drafting reports and tracking reporting time frames to ensure that all reports and deliverables (narrative and financial) are submitted in advance of deadlines
· Managing procurement of equipment and supplies and ensuring best value for all procurement
· Monitoring and overseeing travel and other logistical arrangements and procedures
· Travel, when required, to project locations to undertake management oversight and project review and assessments
2.Technical Inputs and Support
· Reviewing, editing and/or writing technical reports and components of technical reports
· Undertaking research on potential and existing clients, sectors and opportunities
Skills and Experience
· Degree in relevant field with excellent qualifications
· Three to five years’ relevant experience
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills
· Proofreading and editing experience
· Experience in administrative support including logistics
· Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
· Demonstrated initiative and be able to learn quickly
· Flexibility, creative and problem solving skills essential
· Interest in the field and eagerness to develop skills and experience in this sector
· Second language, particularly Spanish or French, is an asset
