CARE International UK (CIUK) is recruiting a Humanitarian Programme Coordinator (HPC) to join its Humanitarian Programme Team to provide short term cover. The Humanitarian Programme Coordinator role is to improve the timeliness and quality of CIUK’s humanitarian response to major emergencies globally.
The HPC will manage and monitor a portfolio of grants largely comprising DFID, DEC and ECHO as well as assist in resourcing and implementing aspects of an emergency preparedness plan for CIUK and will coordinate CIUK’s cross departmental emergencies standing forum. In addition the HPC may on occasions be required to deploy to country offices to support the implementation of the programmes.
You will have relevant experience of working on humanitarian programmes with relevant humanitarian donors, including experience of applying current learning on good practice in the field. You will have strong capacity building, analytical, financial / budget monitoring, advocacy and team working skills, and be motivated by a passion to fight against poverty and reduce vulnerability.
