Valid International is a humanitarian organisation which strives to improve both quality and impact of humanitarian and relief efforts across the globe.
We seek an experienced Finance Assistant, who is organised, focussed and able to juggle the different activities within a busy finance function that operates in diverse geographies. You must be self managing, proactive and a good communicator who would enjoy working as part of a wider team based from our Oxford office.
Responsibilities will include:
· Ensuring all purchase and sales invoices are accurately recorded into finance systems
· Preparing summaries of monthly field accounts and entering into QuickBooks.
· Sales ledger and purchase ledger postings
· VAT returns and online filings
· Credit Control
· Payroll & payroll journals
· Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
· Executing payments in multiple currencies and geographies
· Project finance management and support including assisting with donor reporting
· Assist with donor and organisational audits
Ideally we are looking for someone qualified to AAT level and have a practical knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks. Previous experience in book-keeping is essential.
This is a full time position based in our Oxford but with some flexibility in hours of work is possible.
