Valid International is a humanitarian organisation which strives to improve both quality and impact of humanitarian and relief efforts across the globe.
This is a key appointment, reporting to the company director. Candidates must have developed technical expertise and the ability to interpret the finance numbers and be able to work as part of the senior management team. You will lead on the development of an organisational budget and maintaining financial functions and compliance. You must be confident, proactive and an excellent communicator who would enjoy working as part of a wider team.
You will be responsible for:
All financial management functions
Management accounts
Cash flow forecasts
Ensuring donor and funder and VAT compliance
Providing analysis and identifying key finance issues
Liaising with external accountants on year end management accounts
Generating budgets and forecasts
Improving financial and business systems
Ideally we are looking for someone qualified to AAT level and have a practical knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks. Previous experience in book-keeping is essential.
This is an office based part time role, 3 days per week (or equivalent over 5 days), working out of our office in Oxford. Flexible hours possible .
