Child and Youth Finance International is working to create and strengthen systems, structures and policies that provide children with choices, informs them of their rights, instills in them values, empowers them to make sound financial decisions, to build their assets and to invest in their own futures.

Child and Finance International is a concept born from the experiences of organizations promoting social and financial education and financial access to children and youth across the world. CYFI stresses the importance of early Economic Citizenship education of a high standard supported by a financial system that promotes access to safe and transparent financial products and services for children and youth.

Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI) is looking for an inspiring and dynamic young leader. This person will function as an Executive Director and will be directly responsible for the CYFI team based in Amsterdam, which consists of 19 employees and has an annual budget of approximately 2 million Euro.

CYFI is looking for:

• A dynamic, driven, young entrepreneurial leader with a clear vision on the future of social & financial inclusion for children and youth worldwide;
• A staunch advocate of the Child Finance Movement who will tirelessly liaise with governmental authorities, NGOs, financial institutions and other high-level stakeholders at the local and global level to shape networks;
• An enthusiastic and committed leader of professional staff who will set clear goals and strategies, inspire and provide coaching.

Requirements:

• A high achiever preferably from an international, multi-cultural setting;
• Academic qualifications up to a masters degree;
• Entrepreneurial character and results-oriented;
• Demonstrable experience with organizational strategy setting and roll-out;
• Demonstrated success in business development/resource mobilization
• Advocacy experience with governments, corporates, banks and other stakeholders;
• Willingness to live in the Netherlands/Amsterdam area and to travel extensively (10-12 weeks per year);

Child & Youth Finance International offers:

Leadership in an international non-profit setting with a great diversity of partners and stakeholders, and a professional and truly committed Secretariat team. The annual gross compensation is expected to be between 60-70k Euro including all benefits. As a charity foundation CYFI adheres to the ‘Wijffels code”. This ensures the compensation is competitive, reflecting years and relevance of working experience.
