In times of need, Oxfam's priority is getting the right help to the right people, at the right time. Over the next year, we’re continuing the implementation of an ambitious business change programme – the HELIOS project – that will help us streamline the way we supply aid. We’re making the way we work more effective by implementing a cutting edge supply chain system – HELIOS. You'll be integral to the project’s success in this key role.
HELIOS Project
HELIOS is a business change project with a vision that puts supply chain management at the core of project planning and delivery. This will make Oxfam GB more competitive, cost-effective and accountable. The project has already delivered standard processes and HELIOS software to 26 locations in 15 countries and we’re continuing the roll out to further offices to increase HELIOS coverage in Oxfam GB.
The Role You will lead implementations by engaging with our programme offices to start using HELIOS. By working closely with country and project teams, you will build a collaborative and participatory environment to ensure sustainable business change and in-country ownership of the process. Your remit will be wide - from assessing the individual needs of each office, and meticulous planning of each implementation, through to training frontline staff in new procedures. You will inspire country teams and build excitement for the change, so that roll-outs are successful and contribute to long-term organisational business benefits.
What we're looking for We are looking for someone who has the vision and passion to facilitate the change. You have international experience in Supply Chain Management with development or humanitarian sector. You’ll be selling new ideas to a whole range of people, so you have the work ethic and negotiation skills to inspire others to perform to the highest standards. We’re looking for someone with proven people management and decision making skills so that the right choices can be made at the right time. You know what it takes to implement new processes and software and have the skills to make it happen. You will also be able to travel extensively to field locations. Bring all this and you will soon be enjoying a varied role that offers a real chance to make a difference.
