Malaria Consortium has currently got an opening for a Coordinator- Public Health Approach Papers to be based in London. The Coordinator - Public Health Approach Papers will lead the development and writing of Malaria Consortium’s Approach Papers and manage the successful implementation of these within the organisation.

The successful candidate will have:

• Masters in Public Health, International Relations, or related field.

• Demonstrable skills and experience in producing policy papers or equivalent with a proven ability to analyse and synthesize large amounts of multi-disciplinary information into concise reports.

• Good project management demonstrating the ability to coordinate a group of people, manage competing priorities and deliver goals within deadline.

• Demonstrable skills and experience in securing involvement of internal stakeholders, planning and facilitating consultation exercises, interviews or fact finding meetings which result in all relevant information being collected within a limited timeframe.

• A broad understanding of public health and development policy and practice in a developing country context. Malaria specific knowledge is an advantage.

• Good presenter with experience of presenting complex ideas to specialist and non-specialist audiences.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to secure the support of a diverse range of (internal) stakeholders and work with them to achieve a shared goal.

• Ability to appreciate the detail of a complex subject matter but pick out salient points.

• Ability to interpret the wider public health and development context and identify issues relevant to the organisation and integrate these into own work.

• Flexibility to adapt to variable timeframes and changing staff availability but able to manage this to ensure achievement of agreed end goal.

• Able to schedule work effectively and meet deadlines

• Ability to work independently as well as take direction from others and contribute to the wider team

• Good judgement and ability to appropriately escalate concerns if these arise.

• Good IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
