Malaria Consortium has currently got an opening for a Coordinator–Project Management Initiative to be based in London. The Coordinator- Project Management Initiative will lead the strengthening of Malaria Consortium’s project management systems, tools and practices, analyse potential solutions to identified issues, formulate solutions and drive through improvements across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have:
• Expertise in project management, with the ability to adapt approaches to different organisational contexts.
• Experience in change management, leading the successful introduction of new systems, tools or processes,
• At least 5 years’ progressively responsible experience of managing projects and programmes in an international development context.
• Experience of leading projects within country and at distance from Regional/Headquarters, ideally including in NGOs with a decentralised management structure.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
• Recognised project management qualification
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to secure support from stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, and to motivate groups of staff to collaborate and achieve results.
• Proactive at identifying challenges or gaps. Able to raise these constructively and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage and successfully deliver a broad and varied workload whilst maintaining good relationships with key stakeholders.
• Awareness of and ability to adapt to cultural differences in attitudes and approaches to the running of projects and achievement of results.
