What you need to know
The post is Programme Development Manager and you will be in the Programme department.
As Programme Development Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of Programme
Development Officers who scope and evaluate opportunities from new and existing institutional donors in Plan countries and lead on the development of high-quality proposals for these donors (particularly the EC, DFID, Big Lottery Fund and Comic Relief), in close collaboration with resource mobilisation teams in Plan Country Offices and Regional Offices. This position will require some international travel.
This is a permanent contract and a full-time post, at 34.5 hours a week (we finish at 4.30pm on a Friday).
We are based in Old Street, London. (Finsgate, 5-7 Cranwood Street to be precise)
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will have experience of leading and coaching teams and of developing high quality proposals and/or tenders for institutional donors. You will have experience of working remotely with multiple countries and partners to develop proposals within tight time frames. You will have several years’ experience of international development work in the global south.
Plan’s approach is child-centred, so experience of child-centred programming will be an advantage, and you will be expected to demonstrate awareness of child protection issues.

The usual recruitment rate for this post (Grade 2) is £40,828 with future pay progression within the pay band from £40,828 to £42,976.
