The International HIV/AIDS Alliance works with communities through local, national and global action on HIV, health and human rights. Our vision is a world without AIDS. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people.

The Africa team at the Alliance’s UK Secretariat is seeking a Regional Assistant to provide support to the team’s partner country strategies, with a particular focus on providing administrative and programmatic support to our Linking Organisations within the region. This includes support for financial management processes, such as budgeting, proposal development and internal donor reporting.

The Regional Assistant will participate in team planning and will assist with the monitoring of Alliance plans in assigned countries, as well as managing and coordinating Alliance information systems about NGO and HIV activities within the region. The role includes representational activities and acting as a focal point for information regarding the programmes for Secretariat staff, Linking Organisations and external audiences.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong computer skills, and attention to detail. They will be highly motivated, with an ability to communicate fluently in English and in a second language relevant to the region, both verbally and in writing. All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and must demonstrate a commitment to HIV and development work.
