Finance, Administration and Human Resources Internship opportunity

Description of tasks
Location: Budapest, Hungary
Supervisor: Regional Child Protection Officer
Duration: minimum three months for at least 20 hours/week
Starting date: as soon as possible
Contractual condition: unpaid internship, local transportation pass for Budapest provided
A - Main responsibilities:
a.The purpose of the internship is to give intern first-hand experience on administrative and financial management of a Non-Government Organization and contribute to projects and office running for the Regional Office of Terre des hommes, covering over 16 countries in Europe, Central and South Eastern Europe.
Main opportunities will include:
Project assistance:
- To work in the Terre des hommes Regional Office, assisting the Project Managers in implementing projects and programmes on the promotion of rights based approach, child rights and anti-trafficking activities in the region.
- To participate and contribute to the organization of Regional Meetings and Events
- To assist Project Managers to organize project activities.
Human Resources,Administration and Finance:
- To ensure general smooth running of the office
- To welcome guests, to handle phone calls and mails and other administrative duties (incl. photocopies and scanning);
- To order office supplies and stationeries and other basic amenities
- To support the implementation and harmonization of the administrative, and human resources procedures of Terre des hommes
- To support the implementation of the human resources procedures of the organization
- To contribute to the general smooth running of the office
- To assist with financial data entry and support the Finance and Administrative Manager
C - Key Required Skills and Experience
Education
- University degree or equivalent, graduating university students are also considered;
- Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resource background
Special skills
- Flexibility and the ability to work within a multi-cultural team
- Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and to organise and prioritise own work;
- Ability to work on own initiative;
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills;
- Commitment to working with a value-based organization
- Excellent English language proficiency, including in writing, working knowledge of Hungarian, knowledge of French is an asset
- Good organization and multi-tasking skills
- Team player
- Ability to work under pressure
